FSU linebacker impresses NFL personnel during an individual workout. By BOB THOMAS The Times-Union TALLAHASSEE -- The Jacksonville Jaguars were well-represented as more than 100 NFL front-office personnel, scouts and coaches descended on Florida State for Tuesday's individual workouts by draft-eligible Seminoles. While much of the attention was focused on former Seminoles Darnell Dockett and Greg Jones, linebacker Michael Boulware emerged as the day's top performer, clearly piquing the interest of Jaguars' vice president of player personnel James Harris. Boulware, the brother of Baltimore Ravens star linebacker Peter Boulware, stood the gallery of NFL personnel on its ear with a 4.45 40-yard dash time. And he didn't stop there. After measuring at 6-foot-2, 227 pounds, FSU's seventh-leading career tackler had the fastest times in the shuttle and three-cone drills as well as the best standing and vertical jumps. "I was happy with the things I was able to do," Boulware said. "I knew I could run 4.4. How low, I didn't know. That set the tone for the whole day." Boulware's day ended with a private interview with the Jaguars, who are in dire need of linebackers. http://www.jacksonville.com/tu-onlin...15105482.shtml |
