Nah, that hit wasn't legal. San Fran is a big market team, so the league has a financial interest in them doing well, so for that reason, I wouldn't be surprised if Gooddell says no fine. But the fine won't even matter. We needed the freakin' automatic 1st down!
New rule: Illegal hits in the post season that would result in a suspension in the regular season, you lose a 3rd round pick to the opposing team! |

Wrong again. Straight from the rule book: " using any part of a players helmet (including the top/crown and forehead/hairline parts) or facemask to butt, spear, or ram an opponent violently or unnecessarily; although such violent or unnecessary use of the helmet is impermissible against any opponent." |

I agree SBella.

PT was out like a light after that hit. Losing him seriously hurt our offense. Even with that, the 10 points off of turnovers was the downfall.

Did he have a concussion?
What about the 49'ers. It was ugly. Nasty. Low . Cheap shot. If Saints had done that, I would not have changed my opinion of it either. Legal or not, cheap. The 49'er who did this, seems he should have had a concussion too. Concussions are not funny. |
