Deuce and Sharper weren't brought back because of injury.

I'm sure you guys know more about football than I do. But, I will risk putting my two cents in.
With all the heat, GW relies heavily on the secondary. If the secondary has a bad day...we are exposed. We aren't getting enough pressure up front. Today, he played man, when zone probably would have been a better choice. That said, obviously, our D kept us in this game. After, a zillion turnovers in the first quarter, if it hadn't been for our D, the ship would have been sunk mid-3rd quarter. The O-line caved in the 4th quarter. I also didn't like the play calling in the 2nd overall. But, because the O-line was caving in the 4th, I'm not sure what would have worked better. Special teams turned the ball over and wasn't able to gain substantial yardage most of the season. (Although, the P. Robinson blocked field goal against Atlanta was very special.) If we are going to critique, there's lots of stuff to look at on all sides of the ball to me. |

I'm just trying to look at the game and our performance from an entire game / season point-of-view. We can come back from a large point deficit and we did today. But, now, I just think we need to look at specific areas that did not work today -- for the future. This, to me was an amazing season. We won the division. We beat the f*ckin Falcons TWICE. And, we're 13-3. Do I want another SuperBowl? You bet your a$$ I do! But, I also just want to acknowledge what we accomplished this year and look at what we can fix next year. This was disappointing to me, but not crushing. It's a game and I enjoyed the whole season. |
