Carmichael interviews for Raiders HC opening
The Raiders interviewed Saints OC Pete Carmichael Jr. for their head-coaching vacancy on Friday.
The interview took place while Carmichael and the Saints were in the Bay Area for Saturday's Divisional round playoff game at San Francisco. Carmichael called New Orleans' offensive plays after coach Sean Payton blew out his knee on a freak sideline accident in mid-October. Carmichael was promoted from Saints QBs coach to coordinator prior to the 2009 season. Related: Saints Source: Adam Schefter on Twitter |
Pete... Run awaaaaaaaay!!!
DO NOT EVEN ENTERTAIN BEING THE RAIDERS HC. |
Yeah talk about a **** job. Not only is it a dead end but its extremely temporary! The guy who finally got them a decent season for the first time in years got fired in his first year! Ha!!!

I think we should get a few draft picks for this guy. And knowing how the Raiders give picks away it should not be to hard. LOL

Pete, great guy... don't mind if he goes. So long as we have Sean Peyton, we're fine!
Good luck PETE! |
NOWHERE NEAR the maturity level of a proper head coach. He will be eaten alive.

Dam I wouldn't take that job even if they paid me. They would have to pay me a lot too.
|
My question is why in the hell is this guy interviewing for a job before a playoff game?
|
Run away, run away, keep running.....

The BLACK hole for your coaching career!

Hate to see him go, especially there.
|
How ironic ... the job Sean Payton had turned down!
|
I watched Al Davis's son at the presser when he took over. He stuttered about 20 times reading a speech. Then that bowl haircut haahaaaaa!
Even his own Father constantly belittled him. |

Yeah, I was thinking about the same exact thing. |

yea...he started off not too good but once he settled in we were demolishing teams. we put up 35+ pts per game. not his fault our d blows
|
But did he call SP's plays or do you actually think he constructed his own plays, which he then called in the games?

called paytons plays im sure. i just liked his selections |
If he takes the Raiders over the Saints.....even if the offer 50 million.....
I would call his judgement into question and if his judgement is questionable.... do we really want him? |
He is interviewing with Indy right now ....
New Orleans Saints offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael Jr. will interview today with Indianapolis Colts - New Orleans Saints Football NFL News - NOLA.com Wouldn't he rather coach Peyton and Luck? |
Man Pete is hot right now. I wouldn't want to be a first time coach with those to teams. Thats just me.
|
I keep wondering, if Payton hadn't broken his leg this year, would any of these teams even know who this guy is.
|
Not to mention he is racking up those frequent flier miles. Maybe he can take the family to Disney World! :)
