Looks like Jags fans want Colston
Yeah...and Atlanta fans, and SF fans, etc.
I say we keep all three guys.
That Jags stuff is crap, if Colston want to waste the next 2-3 years of his life he can be out. Doubt that happens though.
Can't have him he's ours
Eh let them have Mechem

I love Colston, don't get me wrong -- he is one of my favorite current Saints and I want him to stay. But I think that fans of other teams, who think he is going to go to their team, with an average/ordinary QB, and they think that Colston will have more/the same type of production that he has in New Orleans, or be able to put up astounding Calvin Johnson type numbers, I think those fans are kinda delusional. I really do think that IF Colston leaves, unless he goes to an elite team with a truly great QB, he is going to suffer and he will likely wind up being extremely average, or all but forgotten within about two or three years. Colston's magical amazing skill is catching perfectly-thrown balls, that are laser targeted by Brees to the perfect precise spot where only he can catch them -- often while defenders or double teams are fooled by play action or diverted by other Saints targets in the same play (ie "where's Sproles?" Earlier it was "where's Bush?"). Average or poor throws would often be picked off/batted down/incomplete, or Colton might not make the grab, if it wasn't perfectly set up for him to catch it in stride. Colston is extremely talented, but we have all seen receivers leave Brees and the Saints and go to other teams, and then they basically disappear.

NOT FOR SALE!!!!!!!
We all feel as though they love being on this team. But be for real "Money still talks". Wish we could keep all of them yet I believe we are going to lose some of them this year I will say at least one for sure. I do not believe they would take a job with anyone other than a proven playoff type team but don't kid yourself for the right money/contract anyone of them would go.
If the FO are able to keep Nicks, I would be fine with seeing both Meachem and Colston leave, because it is much easier to replace those guys then it is to find a Top 5 guard.
I think a lot of people want him including the 49ers. But in a way I think he has more value where he is because he has Brees throwing to him. Take away Brees and Colston is still good. But how good? Personally I would rather have Vincent Jackson. He's bigger, stronger and faster than Colston. Colston knows how to fit into zones and has tremendous hands. That's how he's made his living. But I don't think he is a great speed guy. He was rumored to be a 4.7 guy. Game fast is different from combine fast though. And running good routes, having great hands and good size make up for speed somewhat too.

Not a chance in hell. There is no way Colston is going anywhere, if anything we will release Meach.
For every release, there's a better signee this offseason. Don't get me wrong if Colston, Meachum, Henderson stay cool. V. Jax can do what colston does, any body know who Pierre Garcon is there's your Robert Meachum, and Laurent Robinson is free if you lose devery.
How many guys are as physically tough and brave enough to take the kind of hits Colston takes every week? It doesn't get talked about enough. I've never seen him grow alligators arms. Ever!
And people in hell want ice water! Colston wants to stay with Brees.
