Speculatin' on the Law...

You bring up an option that is not discussed often; usually, the suggestions are pay him or force him to play for $7 million. We would be shocked if the Patriots give in to Law's demands. To trade him they would have to let his agent cut a long-term deal with a team that would be willing to give up picks and/or players. The Pats should get nothing less than a second-round pick for Law, who would be of interest to the Saints, Giants, Cardinals or Jaguars. All four teams have an early second-round pick, and the Saints have two -- 48th and 60th. If the Patriots make that kind of deal (and we believe they should) they would have two first-round picks and three in the second round. They would then be in position to get Virginia Tech's DeAngelo Hall or Dunta Robinson of South Carolina to replace law. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slu...=tsn&type=lgns |
