Is Drew Brees showing disrespect to the Saints?
 

"Mickey Loomis feels baffled, if not worse about how long it's taking for him to receive a long-term contract proposal from Drew Brees’ agent Tom Condon, an unnamed source told Black&Gold’s Danno.

Brees has said several times that a deal should be struck before free agency opens, but Danno reported that privately Loomis is telling ownership that his frustrations are rising."

LOL, good sh!t Danno. We all know a deal is going to get done but it's frustrating to all of us on how long it it taking. There are a lot of different scenario's that will surround his contract as we all know.

I think dropping a lot of weight (literally) on defense will free up some cap space to make this possible. I'm just glad that you and I don't have to make these decisions.

Thats why Mickey Loomis is paid mucho dinero to make these decisions.

He stuck his neck on the line bringing in Payton when Benson preferred a coach with experience. Benson told Mickey - "Loomis you better be right, its your ass on the line". The rest is history.

Loomis isn't batting 1,000 but he's on a real short list of best GM's in the NFL.

He's showing that he wants to make lots and lots of money. And the Saints don't see eye to eye with him and his agent on what that value is....:)
