Could be, but, on the other hand, the other guys might as well improve their game and then Porter would still be the odd man out. Greer and Robinson are going to be the starting pair, and like Danno stated, Porter didn't really excel in the nickel role, which is what he would have in the Saints' roster. Naturally, the Saints need to add more depth to the CB position behind Greer, Robinson, and Patrick, but as the money is tight - I think Porter is too expensive to stay around. I'd love for the Saints to add a taller corner to the bunch - something like 6-1 - who could be used to cover some of the colossal WRs around the league (i.e. Megatron). |
Tracy Porter will always be remembered for his two interceptions at critical times on our Superbowl run. Unfortunately he will most likely be playing elsewhere next season, he's going to be too expensive to keep.

Porter had the 3rd worst completion percentage when thrown at, with 71.2% of passes completed when thrown at him. He was thrown at 73 times for 52 completions.
Robinson is a good fit though.. Opponents QB rating when throwing against him was 59.3, 7th best in the NFL Thanks for the memories, Porter. Numbers don't lie. |

I thought Alaska was referring to CantonLegend - he was banned back in January... See here: http://blackandgold.com/saints/40117...ont-lie-9.html |
Had no idea he was banned. I found his frustration entertaining, hence my post.
