Tracy Porter possibly could find home with Rams
Cornerback Tracy Porter may not be back with the New Orleans Saints next season as he is set to become a free agent this year, and with the pending contract of Drew Brees, and perhaps Carl Nicks and Marques Colston, there may be no money left for Porter.
Clouding the issue is that Porter’s value to the Saints defense took a nose dive in 2011 as he was eventually replaced in the starting lineup by second year corner Patrick Robinson Tracy Porter could find a new home with the St. Louis Rams |

Dude gave us some great memories in 2009 and always love porter for that, he's just been too inconsistent and hasn't done Anything since 2009.
Thanks for the great Super Bowl memory Tracy, Robinson already took his spot in 2010 |

I think he was afraid to do too much on his knee after surgery. I believe he will play much better this year since his knee should be 100% no matter who he plays for.

I think Tracy's whole problem was moving to the nickel. He's a CB. He did OK at NB but I think he'd be much better at CB.
I also think Patrick Robinson will emerge as our best CB next season. |

Could be, but, on the other hand, the other guys might as well improve their game and then Porter would still be the odd man out. Greer and Robinson are going to be the starting pair, and like Danno stated, Porter didn't really excel in the nickel role, which is what he would have in the Saints' roster. Naturally, the Saints need to add more depth to the CB position behind Greer, Robinson, and Patrick, but as the money is tight - I think Porter is too expensive to stay around. I'd love for the Saints to add a taller corner to the bunch - something like 6-1 - who could be used to cover some of the colossal WRs around the league (i.e. Megatron). |
