Hou Dat Crawfish Boil
 

I saw a billboard on the way home from work tonight stating that HEB has live crawfish. I'm sure they aren't cheap now but if they do lower the price I was wondering if there were any plans for the annual Hou Dat crawfish boil that had been happening at Hou Yat's the last couple years. I'm just throwing this out there now so I can have enough time to request it off at work so I don't miss out last year

How many of the B&G members are usually there? That could well be worth the drive. I would like to put a face to some of these handles.

I have a guy to get the crawfish from whenever we decide to have it.

I had some why I was in New Orleans for Mardi Gras any they were really good.

That's good to know, since it was nearly impossible to get crawfish on a Sunday last year. I called 10 places before I finally found someone who had them. I think Mike mentioned that he wants to host it from his new swamphouse this year. I don't mind bringing my pot & burner over there if he needs one.

Let's try to do it on a Saturday this year if possible. Mudbugs III will happen!

Does this usually happen before training camp? I've had a pm about this idea and I like it. So the B&G camp out has been replaced huh?:wink:

No, we're not replacing anyone else's boil; the one we usually have is in April or May here in Houston. Last year's was held in May over Memorial Day weekend. Would be nice to do it in April when the season is at its peak (and prices are lower).

Can we combine it with draft weekend? I've got a pot and burner too if it is needed...
