Bart Scott seeking a trade
 

Any chance we take a look at this guy, he's 31 years old but he's not the oldest guy and still looks to have some left in the tank

He always played well when I watched one of their games

He seems to have an attitude problem, and his production has dropped of quite severely during the past seasons.

His main problem is with his poor pass coverage, which led him to spend a lot of time on the sidelines last season, because Rex Ryan chose to field better coverage guys on the field instead of Scott.

With his current contract, his annual cap hits would be: 2012: $5.95M; 2013: $8.65M; and 2014: $8M. No team in the league will want to take on that contract with the production Scott has been able create during the past seasons.

If the Jets are able to trade him, they'll probably have to take on a contract of their own from the other party involved.

I would say a definite no to trading for Scott - the Saints already have enough guys with big contracts who are not performing on the field as they should.


But the whole situation is interesting in that Scott was the first former Ravens' player Rex Ryan brought over to the Jets after he took the HC position with them.

Too costly.

Too much money for what he has left to offer.

Not worth it, we have enough underperformers!

I would prefer someone younger that played like he did when he was young, we already have one like him, aging with injurys. No thanks.

Not willing to take on that salary nor use a draft picks to acquire him. I want to get younger, stronger, and faster... not the other way around.

agreed. I would rather keep Vilma for less and our young bucks.

A couple of years ago maybe but I wouldn't trade for him. Fin you say he have a attitude I say he has passion but either way thats what you need in a LB is a attitude I want him talking trash to other player on the oppisite team and getting on our player when they mess up. Vilma is a leader yes he had a bad year last year but he's the best thing we have as a leader on defense.

I just hope Vilma is able to come back. When he's healthy he's still good. But unfortunately he hasn't been truly healthy for a while now. (90% would be fine but 80% just isn't cutting it) I still can't believe how badly he graded out on PFF...........please please please get well!

I agree that players need to have a certain attitude when it comes to getting the most out of oneself in the field, but when you have public disagreements with your HC - no matter if that HC happens to be a Ryan - that is inexcusable.

He seems a bit juvenile at times to me, and that is not what the Saints need.

We need...... Younger, Stronger, Faster...we have the technology!!! Do we have the money though?
