I was hearing something like this on Detroit sportstalk, but in regards to how Brees' contract talks could apply to Matthew Stafford ... do these reporters all hang around the same gym or something? Anyway, since Stafford hasn't been in the league four years and his first two were with injury, I applied the numbers to last season only (Stafford's first complete season).

There's also that little matter of having a SuperBowl ring ... QB's at that level are judged on how many championships they win. Stafford & Ryan got a ways to go yet.

I never really realized how afraid of the Saints they were before I read some of those comments...

It's like they feel like the only way they can ever be better than the Saints is if something bad happens to the Saints causing them to not be as competitive as they are - talk about having no faith in your team.
