You fire them to hopefully lessen whatever sanctions the league was going to slap the Saints with.
Also, what is the next thing Loomis is going to decide he is going to disobey Benson over? |

Williams was the mastermind behind this whole thing.... How do we know, that this isn't the reason that Loomis let Williams go in the first place? I'm still waiting for Payton to respond to this..... The last thing you do, is fire either one..... Forget "messages" being sent..... The only message that matters to me, is the one they send to the fans, where they say, "we aren't going to screw all of you, in the process."
And here's another thing..... Benson doesn't have the best "track record" when it comes to major decisions..... That's why we were never as successful, with him running the show.... He's the last one that should make this decision.... |

He ( Jay Glazer ) also reported who spoke to one saints player who said yes we absolutely did this. Of course no names though.
