Sounds more like a Chess match. On one side Brees is livid and not going to sign and on the other they are working out QB's.

Cause for concern?

No.

On the one hand you could freak out and go all Chicken Little and say the sky is falling. On the other hand, you could just know that Chase Daniel is a restricted free agent this year, and since nothing has been announced he has presumably not signed a tender yet; therefore the only way that Chase Daniel would be in a Saints uniform throwing to Randy Moss on David Drive would be if he went out there did it for free. It's not a cause for panic, folks.

It'll bring in reads. But definitely not a cause for panic.

Brohm was pretty well liked by a ton of teams before he was drafted, doesn't hurt to take a look at him. I think he's being looked at for depth, nothing more.

I don't think Drew is shaking in his boots. I thought Brian was going to be a great Pro. It hasn't worked out that way. Brian lacks something but I bet Payton will get it out of him. Please don't wear no 4

They would've had Canfield under futures contract, so I don't think that is the only reason they called him to visit.

and this is what it boils down too. I want nothing more then Brees to retire a Saint but he is fighting a 5 year 90Mil contract????? Who does this? This is not basketball! So Brees wants something no man has recieved in football ever. He will be making more then double ALL of our RB's combined! I hate to say it but they may have to move on or atleast CYA. I want Brees back but he has to want to come back......

Technically we don't have any signed QB's on the team at the moment so they had to have somebody throw passes to Moss.

Well, technically they do have Sean Canfield - he signed his latest reserve/future contract on the 18th of January.

And what job would better suit him than throwing the ball to FA visitors?

Why si this cause for alarm? He's a practice QB that will be there for training camp..

He's a young QB that didn't develop as expected. But neither did Alex Smith for six seasons.
