That's a hell of a lot of gauranteed money for a player that is not guaranteed to play...

5 years?! I'll have whatever Tom Condon is smoking.

I'm reading $90 mil, from both Tenn and Den

Whoops! (maybe)
Peyton Manning wants his new contract to match his old contract | ProFootballTalk When we passed along the report from the Denver Post that Peyton Manning was seeking a five-year, $60 million contract, Florio noted that it seemed a little light. That’s because it was. Mike Klis of the Denver Post has now updated his report and said that what Manning is actually seeking is a contract like the one he signed last year with the Colts, which was for five years and $90 million, with a whopping $61.8 million in the first two years. That’s a whole lot of money, but Klis writes that both the Broncos and Titans are fine with that contract, if that’s what it takes to land Manning. If the reports that the 49ers are the third finalist for Manning are true, presumably that means the 49ers are fine with that contract, too. Some reports have suggested that Manning’s contract will be structured to protect the team that signs him in the event that his neck prevents him from playing in 2012, as it did in 2011. But if Manning is back in the NFL this year, as he expects to be, he also expects to be one of the league’s highest-paid players. And the teams that covet him are fine with that. |
We're screwed.
Drew is gonna have to play under the tag this year. Looks like he should have signed that contract last month, and the one last year too. |

I think were all in the wrong business

If I could have One wish. I would play for free. But they would need to pay me to practice.

For that money tag Brees this year (done), Draft a QB next year and tag Brees, then say goodbye to Mr. Brees.
As a side note Tom Condom and those like him are the reason why we have things like lockouts. |

D-bag organizations willing accept these contracts are the reality. I hope Mr Benson and Mickey don't fall into this trap. |

Seems like this guy has his dirty hands in everyone's contract, however I bet those hands are full of money as well so I'm sure he couldn't care less of what people think of him. |

how did Payton go from 12 mil to 18 a year? the guy turns thirty-SIX next week, and might not throw another pass again, and he's getting guaranteed money?
The owners should call for a code red on the idiot who pays him that kind of money |

I am with you on this, how can a team pay this kind of money when not exactly sure if he plays again. However, reports are he should be fine. I guess at the end of the day, it is all about winning a Superbowl. All three teams could possibly get there with Manning. |
I wanna be a sports agent, they get the best drugs. THat's gotsa be what Condon on!!!!
