CBSSports.com is reporting that Coaches Carmichael or Spagnuolo may become acting head coach with Sean Payton suspended for the entire 2012 season and potential interim head coach Joe Vitt suspended six games for the bounty program.

I say give it to Spags... He has experience, and Carmichael can focus on the offense.

I'm sure Spags really wants to be here now all this has happened.....i will be suprised if he doesn't jump ship after one year, this is a real mess.

If we can't get brees signed either this is going to be a crap season

Carmichael would probably be my choice since he's already had a taste AND is not new to the Saints.

That being said, I expect the NFL to announce that Roger Goodell will be the interim head coach of the Saints and Supreme ruler of the universe.

He will studiously review Madden 99's playbook and announce the upcoming Saints gameplan each Friday before the close of business via a random ESPN reporter/reporterette.
