My Official Apology to my B&G Friends
 
I have spoken out in defense of Roger Goodell many times in the past when many of you kept telling me he was destroying the game, had way too much power, dealt out inconsistent punishment toward players, etc, etc...

You were right and I was wrong. Oh boy was I wrong. I'm embarrassed that it took this ridiculous overly-severe decision to open my eyes about Roger Goodell. But they have certainly been opened.

Any ideas what my punishment should be? I've tried to be a good fan and good poster, so please don't Goodell me.

I did too. I thought that Goodell was a fine commissioner while many were telling me otherwise. I thought that those people were overreacting. Now I know what overreacting really is.

i will never ever believe that goodell would have imposed punishment on a new york team or type market for fear wall street would collapse again. i'm in shock and had chest pains since hearing this bs news. draft picks yes head coach out of a job no. i'm not starting no conspiracy, just calling out BS.

There'll be an appeal after the dust settles - I think part of this is the impending lawsuit by Joe Horn and his gang of scrubs who've pessed away all their money and need more quan...

Just kidding, Danno. For the past few years, I haven't had the nicest things to say about Goodell. I actually HATE the guy right now and if I came face to face with him, I'd kick him square in the junk.

The "don't Goodell me" had me laughing out loud. That is truly awesome. I'm going to start using that term in everyday parlance and I hope others do too. I hope it catches on.

Here it is Danno: Figure out some way we can screw over the NFL without screwing over the Saints so Not-So-Goodell will remember it's the fans who make this game great and WE should be taken into consideration as well when he does his high and mighty thing.
