This is Really About Money Ball
The League never did like the fact that we lost money for two years, refused to move to a more profitable market, then not only won with only one true superstar and a bunch of cast-offs, undrafteds, and late-rounders, we beat three of their golden boys to get there! Four if you count the azz-whoopin' we put on Brady in the regular season. We many get ratings, but outside of Brees, we don't sell jerseys or hock any of other of the League's crap. And the HATE us for that.
But like our team statement said, we've been through worse. We survive a hurricane, b!tch! You really think you can stop us? Sorry for cursing, I'm just so infuriated. |
Normally I am opposed to believing in conspiracy theories like this one, and perhaps my judgment is clouded by the fact that all of this is happening to my team...but can we put together any more solid facts that may show the league is biased here?

not the league; just Goodell...

Well for one thing, as others have mentioned, when you have one person enforcing penalties and making rules, you have a problem.

I cannot say it enough. Dumb. Stupid. Bad choice. WTF was GW thinking? SP, if he knew GW was stil doing this. NFL sent out a letter to all teams to stop this. Easy. Quit it.
Saints folks in charge lied and cont. I agree a bounty thing with the a paper trail and huge amts. of prize money and terms like cart offs, etc. is pretty ugly. If, if Saints players only, put up a few hundred dollars and said for person who makes most sacks, tackles, etc., then it would be a different story. Yes, punishment is in order, but this is really severe. Crazy. Overkill. |
Saints Recovery not an Option
I think this sums it up:

Goodel's intent was to put us out of the Superbowl in NOLA.
