Jo-Lonn Dunbar visiting Rams
New Orleans Saints free agent linebacker Jo-Lonn Dunbar scheduled to visit St. Louis Rams today Mike Triplett, The Times-Picayune 03/22/2012 8:37 AM
New Orleans Saints free agent linebacker Jo-Lonn Dunbar is scheduled to visit the St. Louis Rams today, according to a league source. This is the first known visit for Dunbar, who had a breakout season for the Saints last year. Dunbar said last week that the Saints are "absolutely" still in the mix to re-sign him, though it's not clear where he fits into their plans. The Saints have been visiting with several free agent linebackers this offseason, including Curtis Lofton, David Hawthorne, Chris Chamberlain and Joe Mays (who since re-signed with the Denver Broncos). Dunbar, who just turned 27 last week, is hitting the open market at a great time in his career. He had his best season for the Saints last year with a career-high 79 tackles, one sack and two forced fumbles. And he proved his versatility by playing well as a starter at both strong-side linebacker and middle linebacker while Jonathan Vilma was injured. The 6-foot, 226-pound Dunbar was a middle linebacker in college and considers that his natural position, but he said he's not looking to play any one spot over another wherever he signs next. |
Not shocking.
Thanks for the post. |
Think this will be a definite loss if we let him go.

That depends on entirely who they bring in to replace him - might be an upgrade. But then again, I don't evaluate him as highly as most here do. |
Say your hellos and then get back home, to the Dome, where you belong, with the WhoDat song (ran out of rhymes).

Good luck to him. I'd like to have him back.
