LB Chris Chamberlain close to signing
Larry Holder @LHolderCBS
Nothing is eminent, but I'm hearing some positive momentum that #Rams LB Chris Chamberlain could sign with the #Saints. Stay tuned. https://twitter.com/#!/LHolderCBS |
Awesome, is the guy any good? Is he an OLB?
|
I thought that he was the LB most likely to sign with the Saints, because he will be the most affordable out of them and due to his relationship with Spags.
But he is an OLB, so do we see Shanle moving on? |

From all I've read he's a decent OLB who knows Spags system well, but nothing spectacular.
But I wonder, is decent an upgrade over what we have? I tend to think so. |

I agree. He has pretty good size and from what I've read he does have good movement ability on the field - he played the weak-side linebacker with the Rams/Spags if I remember correctly. |
if spags changing system see u later shanle. i hope we pick up a jewel in the third rd. lb i hope, its what i'm hearing.

Just scowered Youtube and can find NO highlights of this guy. Is that a bad sign?

He was a 7th round draft pick, so don't expect a lot of college tape to be available for the guy, and he wasn't a star in the Rams' s system, so he probably doesn't have many die-hard fans. |
Chris Chamberlain

In coverage, Chamberlain did well, but struggled against Vernon Davis ... as did most linebackers assigned to cover him.
