Is there a chance that Payton is so upset over his suspension that he resigns?

No.

He will probably make the most out of his mandated vacation and enjoy some extra time with his family while game planning for the 2013 season.

I would've said that maybe when hell freezes over, but I guess that has already happened...

Definitely NO! He's so competitive that there will be a burning desire to take control again & show the NFL what they missed out on in the 2012 season. And he will take no prisoners!

It has crossed my mind that he might freak out and eat lots of vicodin.

I mentioned something to this effect in another thread. I hope he is so pissed that when he and others return next year that he tells the offense to score at will and don't stop until the final whistle sounds.

... yeah, happens every year ... Hell, Michigan 48169 ... quaint little town, about an hour or so west of Detroit ... not bad fishing. I've been to Hell and back, :mrgreen: ... latitude 42.434N/longitude -83.985W, elevation suprisingly 889ft, not way down somewhere as previously thought. Keep those coordinates in my handheld GPS, just in case somebody needs to know where Hell is or how to get there ...

... and "no", Payton isn't resigning ... if anything, he's coming back with a vengeance, like a man who has been to hell & back.

Maybe he'll do some investigative reporting/photography on Goodell!
