It's always going to be there. There were chances given to not be put in this position. The FO, to include SP, were told multiple times to stop the bounty system. They covered it up, played it off, lied about it. If it was just having the bounty system and continuing the use, there would have been fines and no suspension. Instead they lied.

Goodell is not punishing for the bounties, he is punishing for the lying. I still don't understand why no one understands this.

If it comes out that SF has a bounty system, guess what, they will be told to stop. If they don't, they will be fined. If they don't but, arrogantly, try to cover it up and lie about it, they will face the same stuff we are going through now.
