Supposedly Lofton said this on Atlanta radio show
This morning he was on, and for the brief moments I listened on the short ride to work, everything he had to say pointed to being really disappointed he couldn’t finish his career in Atlanta. It sounded like he was saddened that the Falcons labeled him as a 2 down LB and wouldn’t pay him even close to what NO was paying. When asked about what it would be like to don a Saints jersey, he said that it “chilled his bones” to even think about saying the words “Who Dat”.

maybe his wallet can warm him up

Well, he better get over that really quick. He's a Saint now. There were many other teams he could have signed with, so suck it up man....
|
He also said this.......
..."I wanted to go to a team that, No. 1, had a chance to win a Super Bowl, had true fans, a great defensive coordinator. Then once the Saints called, I was like, 'Wow,'" Lofton said. "When I took my visit there, I loved it. I knew I was going there. I didn't need to visit anywhere else. I told my agent that." No.1 chance!!! Haha!!! Falcons are the ones who r done!!! |
$$ + Classy Fans = End of Who Dat Phobia

It's understandable that he wants to somewhat play both sides to appease both of the fan bases, it certainly isn't an easy thing to depart from the franchise that drafted you and go to their biggest rival.
In any case, I don't care what he says about the situation or what his motivations were to come to the Saints - all I care about is him bringing it on the field when the chips are down. |
