Just another step towards the NFL becoming two hand touch... now instead of players getting late hit flags and fines they'll be having criminal charges filed
|
Good for them. This has gotten SO FAR out of hand. Good job Roger...you freaking idiot.
|
The next logical step is to outlaw all hits that hurt your opponent.
You shall receive a 15 yard penalty for "hitting hard enough to injure". Welcome to the slippery slope Roger. Calling him an idiot is way too kind. |
Wow, I am speechless. This really is disgusting. Society has become so influenced by political correct-ness. People really are idiots.
|
I'm sorry to say what I've been saying, but the NFL is over.
Roger didn't think this through. Or maybe he did and he thinks all this grandstanding is great. Seems to me the NFL would have been MUCH better off making a much smaller deal out of this whole thing, handed down reasonable punishment and just moved on. But oh but hell no, Roger had to puff out his chest. I would like to announce my candidacy. If elected I will ban Roger Goodell from even so much as watching an NFL game on TV ever again. If he were on the effing moon he'd still be too close to football. |
he is changing the very things that made this league what it is and turning it into fag football...note: I said FAG..not flag
|
Criminal charges huh?
What is the basis for the criminal charges, exactly? Conspiracy to commit assault and battery?? Now here's the thing, if there is a case for criminal charges. Shouldn't that mean the victims, not the NFL, bringing the civil prosecution. Then, and only then, that means ALL the evidence comes out. Oh dear Lord. In theory, how does that work also because surely that would mean that coaches allegedly involved (in the planning) giving evidence, but they will not because they will claim 5th Amendment? |
Slippery slope indeed. Look for players to sue other players now. Can you imagine Joe Theismann suing Lawrence Taylor, for example?
What a mess! What a joke. |
And what happens to Goodell when it comes to light that he has once again destroyed all the 'evidence'? LOL
|
AAAHHHHHHHH!!!! I'm losing my mind. Just sit back and watch the show people. This thing is about to backfire in a big way.
|
The way I read it is that the NFLPA has decided this "could" be an issue.... not that the NFL or Goodell has stated there might be criminal charges.
The NFLPA has not elaborated on what grounds there might be criminal charges. Sounds like a bunch of over speculation to me. The NFLPA needs to STOP giving people ideas. Ha! Maybe they will all be tried under RICO with Gotti. |
This is a complete joke. Goodell, way to go. I blame you for starting this whole bunch of crap. By the way I cancelled my Nfl sunday ticket. Screw Goodell, and the money grubbing NFL. I will watch the games for free over the internet.
Do you think I'm going to pay full price to watch this crap, players and coaches suspended. Your the judge and jury make up rules as you see fit? How is this fair for us the fans who pay for this crap. SCREW YOU ROGER, thanks for everything :needle: |

I am 1000 % in favor of it, even if it's over the top. The NFL has blown this whole thing way out of proportion and everyone else has to prepare accordingly, even if it's just for show. |

Also so what if direct is paying them. They wont get any of my money. If I must watch it from a grainy laptop. So be it. |
This is absolutely absurd. Better yet, disgusting. Pretty soon blitzing is going to be against the rules.
|
I hope when hiring counsel some minorities were interviewed. Don't want to mess with the sanctity of the Rooney rule
|
If they get criminal charges that will be it fomr me. Football is a contact sport which bounties have been around since the 70's. I just don't know if I could support the NFL by watching or tickets with Goodell continuing to be in charge.
