Haven't checked out the store in a while, I might get that back pack... could use a new baby bag.

iceshack149 04-03-2012 03:17 PM

It needs more gold. I'm not a fan of the all black uniforms whether it's Reebok or Nike. Alaskans like gold.

We all like gold and we all like your avatar - absolutely classic...

Ashley 04-03-2012 05:11 PM

I know what it's missing........ The red flags hanging of the sides of the players! I better let Roger Goodell in on this asap.
Well in our case we should have gold flags, there we can add more gold to it then.

Agreed Ron, they look OK to me, I'd like to see the white/gold jersey version of it however.

I like the collar thing, it resembles the collar pad LB's used to wear in the 80's.

skymike 04-03-2012 06:26 PM

its like the NFL is trying harder every year to look like the Arena League.

why cant they see th value of tradition, the way baseball does.

i hate change.

|Mitch| 04-03-2012 06:31 PM

I just saw the Seahawks new unis on Total Access. Besides the throw-back helmet(kind of), the rest of it was :puke:

They were saying there are performance enhancements with the new unis? Do they breath better or what?

Because they will make more money this way?

and i want the gold back.

pgray3 04-03-2012 07:21 PM

This is un-f'ing believable! Panthers are nearing the level of hatred I have for the Falcons! I'm beyond steaming.

HAHAhahahahahahaha, it took me 15 minutes to get off the floor laughing at that disgusting uni. Nike sucks.

I agree, it's not terrible but I'll reserve judgement until I see the gold and white version and the gold and black version.

That's ok with me, Sam will always be a Saint. Sam was a great guy all around.

But we should put something then on the back of ours.. "Bring the wood". Do you think Goodell will allow that. Pansy ass

BoudinSandwich 04-03-2012 08:46 PM

Uggghhhh...

That "gold" is so WEAK. It's like they ran out of color. I hate it. Look at the pictures that are [B]not photoshopped[B]. When a little bit of light hits it, it becomes white.

Our team numbers are now Black and Cream.

Disgusting.

P.S. - 3/4 Collars are also terrible. Not to mention the Gold FDL on a Gold background. Did these guys take art classes at all?

When did we start playing football on the moon? Did I miss a memo?

Danno 04-03-2012 09:13 PM

After viewing those gawd awful fugly-ass throwback uni's, how can anyone say they don't like these new ones?

I can't wait to see the other combinations.

FinSaint 04-03-2012 09:43 PM

Truth be told, they can wear plastic backs for all I care when they're hoisting up the Lombardi Trophy next year in NO.

Because our colors are now Black and White That's Stayed In The Attic So Long That It Turned A Cream Color.

The collar sucks, but I could get over it if the gold was actually gold.

frankeefrank 04-03-2012 10:04 PM

UGGGGGLLLLLYYYYY
I don't have to worry about getting a jersey

For those that haven't seen... This is what I'm talking about. The gold color is so weak and washed out that, when light hits it, it just looks like dirty white.

Jesus! That is completely hideous. Put me down with the hate group! Plus as I said before, I will not buy anything on it with the nfl logo on it (official) maybe i will buy the cheap ones from over seas, y'all know the ones I'm talking about.
Until that ass hat Goodell is running this sport into the ground.

Yeah, I've heard some people say that maybe it's just the camera, but it shows up this way in every picture that isn't photoshopped (not just PT's). Some people say it's just bad lighting...

As if all stadiums indoor and outdoor are going to have perfect lighting.

This is a problem.

goguxxx 04-04-2012 01:45 AM

Those silver socks need to be gold.Other than that, they could paint it yellow/red,if makes us play better, its all good !

dueceloose 04-04-2012 07:34 AM

They could be worse *shrugs.

ScottF 04-04-2012 10:04 AM

I think a lot of us will stay the course by boycotting jersey sales, especially since it really looks pretty generic. Maybe we could get 'Mean Machine' stitched on it

Here's another thought- they are lighter and streamlined, so what is the average fan (beer gut and 30 pounds overweight) going to look like in one?

RaginCajun83 04-04-2012 10:59 AM

Nike and the NFL just made my decision to wear my Brees jersey until all the stitching and numbers fall off a whole lot easier

skymike 04-04-2012 02:11 PM

I will join the BOYCOTT.

1. there was nothing wrong with the old uniforms... we didnt need change.

2. guck foodell

Ashley 04-04-2012 03:47 PM

The all new Black and cream team, coming to a Stadium near you.

|Mitch| 04-04-2012 04:04 PM

It could have been worse, we could have ended up with something like the seahawks unis

with Nike being so close, you have to figure Seattle mgmt had a hand in that. No way a company comes up with something so putrid on their own and just says "here you go"

Yeah, they must've expressed their desire to have a new outfit, so Nike was probably just doing what they wanted.

I never understood what that particular almost-neon green has to do with either Seattle or a seahawk.

That's exactly what happened.

The Seahawks organization wanted a change and, with Nike taking over the new uniform duties, they gave Nike the go-ahead to make drastic changes to the uniform.

All franchises own their logos and colors, so it has to be done with their permission. This is what perplexes me about the Saints' new cream color. Either the real color looks different on Nike's new material or, some kind of way, Nike got the actual color incorrect. This color is much more closer to Purdue's gold than it is Saints gold.

Seer1 04-04-2012 07:31 PM

If it makes anyone feel any better, they even made the Browns' uniforms worse. I didn't think anyone could do that. +1 in the hate column.

exiled 04-04-2012 07:45 PM

I have been boycotting NFL gear off the rack for years. It's the national pass-time. Make them in the USA under good labor conditions and I will consider spending my hard earned money on them.

As for the look - not as bad as I feared. Not a fan of the uni-tard look.

QBREES9 04-04-2012 11:30 PM

The NFL Issue Uni are made in the US. All they other crap is made outside the US. When Starter was around they made the jersey and hats in New Haven Ct.

Mardigras9 04-05-2012 12:33 PM

I like the all black and it is appropriate this upcoming year to look as we have been protrayed all dark and sinister. We will really be hated when we lead the NFC anyway.

pumpkindriver 04-06-2012 05:48 PM

ugh, black and beige :/
