But if it makes you happy to come here as a drive-by poster and piously lecture to us, chastise and scold us, then I'm glad you are able to get a bang out of the schadenfreude. Thank you for the morality lecture, kind Sir. We will promise to keep eating crow, and repeating how miserable and wrong and unethical we Saints fans are, repeating it over and over, until you and every other fan of every other team in the world are finally happy. We will not "move on" until you are satisfied, until YOU give us your approval, and until you are personally ready to allow us to move on. Would you like us to burn Sean Payton in effigy, and you can monitor the proceedings to make sure we are sufficiently contrite and humbled. Is there a loyalty oath or piece of paper we can sign to be allowed to be citizens of the NFL again, in your wise opinion. We are all ethically deviant, just for believing that the Saints aren't the only team on earth who ever had bounties, and we deserve to be fans of a losing team for a long, long time. |
Im not defending Williams, but where in this recording was compensation actually mentioned? Meaning, where exactly did Williams say, "you will get paid if you do this."? In court, this is called "circumstantial evidence".

And I don't *think* other teams are doing it. Other teams *are* doing it. Players have come out and said so themselves. Coaches are on record threatening to hurt players: just last year, before the Titans-Saints game the HC of the Tennessee Titans pretty much said they were going to try to take Brees out. There was a lot of "payback" talk before the Vikings game as well. It is well known the Packers themselves had a "bounty" system, their HC is on record, he said so himself. That's all on record. But no, intelligent ears apparently don't inform themselves before making what they *think* are "solid points". Oh, and I almost forgot about your "analogy": you need to practice that, because that murder analogy is pretty bad. Sure if you are caught killing your neighbor, no one is going to say the other neighbors are murderers too, but what happens when the other neighbors are caught killing someone? Uh? Ok. Let's play a game: let me show you a couple clips and you tell me what the difference is: Here is the Saints defense giving Brett Farve the infamous High-Low in the 2009 NFCGC (at the 1:34 mark): Ah! The memories... anyway, now, look at these 2 plays here by none other than the Vikings defense, which happened in 2008 in the same game, and tell me if they look familiar. "OH, but intelligent ears know the difference is 'the bounty'"... well, that you have no idea whether there was a "bounty" involved in the Great Matt Schaub Knee Hunting Expedition of 2008 notwithstanding, listen to what Marcellus Wiley, an ex-player says regarding "bounties" http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=R00Sjhp3bbQ So, there. Your turn, intelligent ears. |
Point>Reiper...and that's pretty much game set & match right there...

Hey Pat:
http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_2201jymK8R.../s400/blow.jpghttp://blog.pair.com/wp-content/uplo...ot-me-logo.jpg We do not need video of other teams... There is open admission of it. The Redskins Had A Bounty On Roger Staubach In 1974 | NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth NFL.com news: Pierce: 'We always knew who was injured' "I've heard that speech from seven of the defensive coordinators I've played with in my nine-year career," Pierce told ESPN this week" So lets see.. 7 of 9 Defensive coordinators... And going back to 1974.... So hell yes we were singled out. I am not singling you out. |
