New Orleans Saints very thin at CB position.

A bit more of an in-depth look at how thin the Saints are at the position after Porter and Torrence leaving. A bit more of a statistical view also.

Cornerback Leigh Torrence joining the Washington Redskins leaves New Orleans Saints thin : New Orleans Saints

Hope you all enjoy.

Who Dat.

Trufant is back with the Seahawks. Not sure about Hood.

Trufant signed w/ SEA
I think Spagnola is showing he likes guys who can tackle, which is why Tracey "the Matador" wasn't kept. Maybe Mack will bring some depth.
Is MM still in shape?

I don't know how this will play out.........but Payton has always first and foremost tried to bring in or develop really good corners.

I have been waiting for YEARS, for us to come up with a guy who can actually defend a 6'4" receiver with no help. We keep getting these 5'10" guys that are just begging for pass interference calls to give our opponents 1st and goal from the 2. I know, I know, the 6'3" shutdown corner is like a four leaf clover, and in our situation we couldn't afford one if we did find him. Perhaps there is a diamond in the rough, that nobody sees but us; teaching high school english after being cut from someone's practice squad last year. Wouldn't that be nice? and cheap?

Watch the Saints draft a "small school sleeper" corner in the 6th or 7th round, Payton has drafted a corner every draft since he's shown up in 2006 so when they do, it will have Sean's finger prints all over it but I do think some will be surprised by the play of Johnny Patrick this season

That is if Johnny Patrick can get out of bed without injuring himself.
