Thumbs down One more reason Jimmy Graham is better than Gronkowski

Whether he’s apologizing for lending his jersey to a porn star or dancing shirtless hours after losing the Super Bowl, Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski has a tendency to make eyebrow-raising public appearances. And now we have another.

In an appearance at the University of Rhode Island on Thursday night, Gronkowski agreed to play the oh-so-hilarious “F, marry, kill” game. His choices were Betty White, Rex Ryan and Tim Tebow.

“I would ‘F’ Tebow, to take his virginity,” Gronkowski said.

I’m guessing Gronkowski would choose to marry Betty White and kill Rex Ryan, but that part wasn’t included in the video that’s making the rounds.

Gronkowski raises eyebrows again

"A Veteran is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America" for an amount of "up to and including my life."

Why do we care?

Quotes from GRONK should be a close second to quotes from drunken female Hollywood socialites...

One day, when he finally retires, he'll be one of the former players that are flat broke in five years, calling on the NFL to give him a handout, or sueing the NFL for injuries obtained while playing such a dangerous sport.

That's a bit of a simplistic way of looking at it. Graham has been playing football for a grand total of 3 years while Gronkowski has been playing football most of his life. Yet Jimmy was only slightly behind Gronk in numbers, and he actually broke Kellen Winslow's tight end record first before Gronkowski was thrown a couple bones late in the game to pass Jimmy.

But here's the main point you are missing. The Patriots offense is built around the tight ends, whereas the Saints don't feature anyone. We spread the ball all over the field and it's why we broke records last year. If Drew threw the ball to Jimmy 15 times a game, he would have blown Gronkowski away. Jimmy Graham is a tremendous athlete. Gronk is just a lumberjack, who the league will adjust to much more easily.

If I had a nickel for every time I heard that, the NFL would fine and suspend me.

That's part of history now, and no longer in effect.

Gronkowski was also helped by the fact that he was paired with another monster TE in Hernandez, which caused even more match up problems for the opposing teams.

Who would I rather have playing TE for the Bucs?

Easy.....Graham. Hell, I would take Hernandez over Gronk.

A)Gronk, to me, is more of a 'system' TE as he has a living legend to throw to him. Brady makes very average WRs/TEs look like studs. It's his trademark. like someone said, they have another great TE in Hernandez. That to me is like having a combo of Tony Gonzalez and Vernon Davis on the same team. There will be mismatches galore on every snap. (I know....maybe a bit of an exxageration on the comparison)

B)Dude appears to be complete moron off the field. Who says they want to bang a dude to take their virginity. How does a thought like that cross one's mind?

C)I like Graham and I know he is a very well-rounded player (obviously), but more importantly, he came up from some adverse **** to become an elite TE in the NFL. Don't let this guy go. I'd be ecstatic if the Bucs had a TE of his caliber. Winslow is not that TE.
