Correction!! Courtney Roby re-signed!!
Mods please correct!! |
he's a decent special teamer
|
That's unfortunate... I mean that they waived Hunter. I was really looking for great things from him in the future, but I guess his injury hasn't healed as well as they had hoped.

Strange re-signing. A special teams gunner over anything else?
|
and depth for Sproles in the return game

Besides, he'll probably struggle to make the team. |
Yeah you're right. With limited draft picks and cap space I suppose bringing back a proven special teams stud for what I would imagine is a very minimum one year contract is probably the smart move. Hopefully Joe Morgan takes his spot though as the back-up return man next year though.
|
Wow! Reggie Roby! I guess it is to put a little pressure on Morstead. But, I thought he passed back in 2005 or 2006.

Nothing much different than what's already been said - but here's my link anyways.
New Orleans Saints Re-Sign WR Courtney Roby; Waive One Other : New Orleans Saints |
Say what you will, but that guy scraps and fights his way into a spot on the roster every year, and does whatever is asked of him. Who else besides him on special teams, is going to actually tackle anybody?

First I need an apology for the double-fumble that hastened our playoff exit in S.F.
A full, written apology specifically addressing the fumble AND read that apology in Champion Square. Alaska |
I'm not terribly excited about this. He hasn't been that great lately.
|
As long as he doesn't return kicks anymore I'll be happy, still can forget him muffing the catch on the kick return and giving the 9ers the ball at our 9 yard line when we were on the verge of coming back
|
Roby may get more plays in the O with meachum out
|
besides, he could bring that watch and keep track of the hangtime. (if it was Reggie)
Welcome back CR! very underrated player. |
I agree SM underrated player. Yeah, he had a senior moment in SF but so did Sproles and nobody is calling for his apololgy. What I like is he can help you in a lot of areas. You always need proven guys like that.
