Anyone else notice this?
The Saints play the Packers, Giants and 40-whiners after they play on MNF, so we get them on a short week!
|
I didn't notice, thanks!! But I did notice we got Green Bay in Green Bay again, I thought that should have been a home game for us since we played there last year. It is a tough schedule.
|
I guess because it was the season opener last season, the special circumstances might not warrant them to necessarily play at the Superdome.
I'm just glad it's early in the season. |
I think it sucks that the Atlanta Monday night game is in Atlanta. Noon kickoffs for Falcons games are tough, no question there is a reeeeeal difference between a rowdy Dome crowd at a night game or a late game, versus the volume in the Dome at a noon game. A part of why the Saints are so much better during prime time games. Would be nice to have that advantage. Oh well.
|
Well, a tougher schedule means no excuses when we are successful. I like it. The tougher, the better.
|
Doesn't matter to me when we play whatever team... We'll beat them and prove that we're the better team and shove it up the NFL's a$$!!
|
We don't have the dreaded back to back to back road games this year either.
Our schedule is pretty good. We have 1 potential severe weather game (@Giants Dec 29). Denver in late October may be cold, but not likely severe. I haven't looked at our opponents bye weeks yet. Didn't we get hammered one year with 4 or 5 teams coming off of bye's playing us? |
I'm just tired of all of these other "heads" saying that we don't play anyone, and that we always have a cake schedule. This year, they won't be able to say anything. Especially with the suspensions, and scandal hanging over us as well. When we are successful this season, it will shove it down everyone's throats.

Green Bay at Seattle
Chicago at San Francisco NY Giants at Washington could be a factor but the GB game i see as not that big of a deal. the other 2? yeah i agree |

and the crowd is overrated- 2 years ago when we needed the win for the WC spot fans were filing out before the game was even decided |

we catch some teams coming off of Mon nite, but we also face ATL coming off a Monday night, and then draw the Thur. game, which no one likes
|
Thank God they broke up the road schedule from last season. We need the Dome to reboot.

Play in Winter, possibly play without suspended players. Tough to call. |

True, but the same goes for any injuries teams might suffer during the length of the season, so it's impossible to know beforehand what would be the ideal time in the season to play a certain team. I just know that cold weather games do not have the ideal conditions for the Saints' offense, so that is one thing that won't work against them in a early season match up. Also, I think that the suspensions will be very limited in the end, so I don't expect them to have as big of an impact on the Saints' season as the initial punishments on staff personnel and the franchise. Of course, Goodell can certainly prove me wrong. ;-) |
Which is what Goodell will do exactly what yo dont expect. No reason to think He will not be an Ahole concerning the players but he does not have the proof that anyone was hurt so it is not going to be easy for Him now.
|
I just hate that our bye week is so early.
We've got 11 games after the rest. I'm more concerned about a 3/4 peak and having nothing left at the end. |
Not sure about a 3/4 peak, but any player suspensions that may be ongoing at that point of the season could keep an "Us against the World" vibe going on with the team.
No way to tell until the regular season starts... |
