Okay so we are down to the final two, and you need to vote for Cam Newton for the Madden '13 cover.




It's Cam Newton versus Calvin Johnson for the Madden '13 cover. Hold your nose and vote for Cam we need this guy cursed this season! I realize many of you don't want to see Cam's face on the cover, but the Panthers should be fairly good this season, and we face them in week two! We must win that game!

NO! I can't stand the guy. I don't want to see his big, blinding teeth on a cover that I'll have to see every time I go to the store or read a sports magazine.

The curse thing is silly. Who or what enforces this "curse?" I realize that voodoo and gris gris are popular in New Orleans but this is ludicrous.

Didn't Brees prove the curse was a joke?

B) Madden 13 will be the same crap as Madden 07, 08, 09, 10, 11, and 12.

Woohoo.....can't wait to not spend $60.00 on that recycled piece of junk.

Wouldn't voting on a player to be on the Madden cover be a bounty?

I am torn between wanting to curse him and not wanting to curse myself by having to suffer seeing his undeserving self on the cover of Madden.

Who gives a crap? I buy the new Madden every year but come on... this is just kind of childish wishing some sort of curse on a division rival. How about we go out and beat them on the field because we're the better team?!

Saints swept the kittens last year, and would have in previous years if the games hadn't been meaningless and we rested our starters.

Since the league is likely to suspend some of our players early in the year, we can use all the help we can get!!!

I don't want Newton hurt, but I would like for him to regress a lot this year!!

As much I'd think Megatron would make a better cover on Madden then Cam, and as much as Newton doesn't deserve it, I'm still voting for Cam Newton ... two reasons:

1) there may not be a curse, but it's awful coincedental that 8/10 of the last cover players had problems ... hell, the last Lion on the cover, Barry Sanders, quit football a week or two after they put him on the cover ... that's karma, man ... and the Lions need 'good' karma right now, not 'bad' karma.

2) Cam is obviously more qualified to, and will most likely, have a crappy year, thus perpetuating the myth of the Madden 'curse' ... yes, I consider that kind of a good thing ... Megatron is all-powerful enough to fight through things like curses, I just don't want it going to his head ... we already got 5 prime-time games & a couple Monday Night appearances on the 2012 schedule, I don't want these guys getting full of themselves & thinking, "we've arrived" ... know what I mean?

A vote for Cam is a vote for the proper universal order of things in the world ...
