The Greatest NFL Scandal Ever ... or not ...
ESPN burst upon the scene with what they claimed was the worst scandal ever, worse than SpyGate ... worse than BountyGate ... worse than anything ... ListenGate!
Where has it gone? Could it be that some aspiring reporter might have abandoned basic requirements of reporting to try to make a name for himself? Could he have possibly skipped a step or two of media basics? The story breaker had a single, unnamed, anonymous source. What is wrong here? Basic reporting protocol requires multiple sources prior to publication. Some decision maker at ESPN disregarded this requirement thinking they had a mother load of a story. That is becoming less likely by the minute. Having spent several years in the news industry I have experienced this blood lust from my superiors. To be honest, a certain incident of which I was forced to comply really turned my stomach and belief toward hardcore media. Do not believe what you read. Do not believe what you hear. Do not believe what you see. Believe ONLY what you feel. |
They are just trying to shut down the popularity of a small market team. Not good for their ratings. Follow the money.

Hope someone named Barr is 1. out of a job,or 2.files bankruptcy,or 3.makes a huge public apology.
Choose 2 of the three. |
I believe what is reasonable, backed by facts and eyewitness accounts to confirm those facts. Not sure what a feeling tells me, unless something gives me reason to feel a certain way. I feel angry about all this, but that's because there is no evidence whatsoever to substantiate these claims. Roger based his rulings in the bounty crap on a feeling, and not much else.

... I think everyone is just having a good time beating up on the Saints, people love to kick you when they think you're down.
