Time for Saints fans to get excited
1 Attachment(s)
Finally, it's over.
No, I fully realize that all aspects of the ridiculous Saints bounty-gate scandal isn't over. The commissioner will continue to dishonestly refer to it as a "player safety" issue. That part isn't over. The NFL will more than likely try to use that lie in court one day in a weak attempt to portray that it puts player safety No. 1 on its priority list. That part isn't even close to over. Every time the commissioner announces yet another Thursday game or another push to play an 18-game schedule, the minds of Saints' fans will most certainly reflect back to his bounty-gate lies. That part may never completely be over. The motivation gained by the new and returning Saints players from all the negative propaganda from the commissioner's office and the national media will hopefully play a key role throughout the upcoming season. Saints fans are hoping that ends in a fifth straight double-digit win season. The franchise must now move on without its head coach and through all the distractions and questions about bounty-gate from now until the end of the 2012 season. That part is actually just beginning. I'm excited because a Brees contract should happen soon...
|
I refuse to get excited until Drew signs!
|
Glad this is all getting done so you guys can move on and get excited about your upcoming season. No regular season game vs the Lions this year, so I'm looking forward to seeing you guys in the playoffs! Good luck this season, I think you'll be just fine.

I'm looking for another reason to visit New Orleans again! Had a BLAST last December! |
I am way past ready.
I want to see some of these young guys get fresh shaven. I want to see Jordan utilizing new skills and strength. I want to see Ingram off the bottle and chewing meat. I want to see Morgan, Andy Tanner, and Toon trying to make an impact. I want to see what Spagnuolo can get out of these guys. I want to see Sean Payton get on stage and hoist the Lambardi. I'm ready for some football. |
I'll settle for College ball. I'd rather see the NFL season scrubbed than to see Roger get away with raping Vilma, Smith, and the others the way he has been allowed to rape them so far.
This has to stop. |

I disagree that it's time to get excited. The Drew Brees situation has not been resolved, and I will not feel anything but nervousness until it gets done.

At least that's what I would do. LOL |

IF Drew retired today, I'd be excited to see how Chase would fare as the starter.
But Drew is not retiring and until he is wrapped up long term I'm not excited... |
Ready or not here we come!
|
but on the other side of the ball, the defense is something to get excited about!
|
WHO DAT! and GEAUX SAINTS !!

I agree with Mitch I am real excited to see a new look on defense this year. I love defensive football and frankly this has been painful to watch the last few years. Nice to have an offense that puts up points but what is more exciting than too see two teams square off at eachother and battle it out for a 7-3 or 7-6 win.

I'm excited about a new Saints season regardless of who is on this team or who isn't. |

Personally, I'm done with all this Bounty BS. It wouldn't surprise me if goodell waited until gameday and announced more player suspensions. I'll tell you another thing, you can bet goodell didn't expect the reaction he got and is getting from Saints Coaches, players and fans. This is an S-BOMB that's gonna blow up in rogers face.
What I'm ready for is some Saints OTA reports. |
