My original conclusion from Hargrove's testament was that he was set up. Take the most vulnerable player and put him in an impossible position.

However, 2+2 does not equal bounty program, nor does it mean confession.

Hargrove, "if his second statement is true", has proven a man who will do what is asked "if" there is something to gain.


If his recant is not true he has still proven that he will say or do anything if there is a gain in it for him.

Question is... What has he gained?

That BS about his coach told him to lie to the league so that's why he did it is BS and I am not buying it....

Tell you what. Hargrove played very well in that season. But then he was signed in Seattle and then in GB. So he didn't get anything from the Saints. But his troubled past makes him slightly less trustworthy and also makes him an easier target for "lets make a deal" after his suspensions.
He's not stupid either. He knew what he was doing.

Except for a second chance and a super bowl ring...
