Because they had to. They have no union. They are at the whim of Goddell. If they get fired/banned for life/etc., there's no other place where they can make even close to the kind of money they can make in the NFL.

Right now one person is telling his side of the story, there's nothing more to it than that. Maybe the arbitrator will eventually confirm it or maybe they won't...from what i understand there was only one person acting as an arbitrator. Was it Drew? Was it Scott? I have no idea. Why are both their names mentioned? It should be only one person, the one he and Gleason agreed to make the call. If that person can't confirm it then I'm not giving him an inch.

Here is the problem with the League and the PA.... They handle things like frikken 9 year olds on a play ground....

1. The NFLPA sues for EVERYTHING...Unions are "supposed" to negotiate on behalf of... If they are going to sue for every little item, get rid of the union and put a lawyer on retainer.
2. The League doesn't address items with the party's involved. They leak and whisper EVERYTHING like a neighborhood watching little old lady through a window...
3. The Players themselves don't have enough sense most of the time to shut the **** up.... Twitter is not the place to handle matters of business and livelihood.

I read through Pamphilon's story hoping he'd finally explain what actually happened. His story is a long twisted maze of confusion and complete nonsense. It went on for miles and made my brain beg for mercy.

The sad thing is, if he would have put that much effort into Gleason's documentary he would have had a masterpiece. He can spin it anyway he wants but Gleason's story was his primary job and duty. He failed.

He made GW's rant more important than understanding the impact of ALS and creating awareness about the disease. 10 years from now the Saints bounty story will be history, hardly anybody will remember and even less will care. That likely won't be the case with ALS.
