Should Saints trade Howard?
Now that we have Will Smith, who IMO will be better than Howard, should we trade Howard to get a starting corner like Woodson, Mckenzie, Law, or Smoot?
I think we should. Howard wants over $6 million a year, while Smith would be making under $2 million a year. If we get rid of Howards cap number that'll be enough to sign the corner to a long-term deal, and we'll have some left over to put towards signing a LB like Trotter after the Skins cut him. Should Saints trade Howard?
I don\'t like the idea of trading Howard but if the price is right I might just trade him. I would prefer a 1st and 2nd rd. pick of 2005 than any corner out there.

Should Saints trade Howard?
Ummmm it won\'t be as much as you think because the Saints FO are still responsible for his prorated signing bonus. I also wouldn\'t like losing him as a player, but I wouldn\'t want another malcontent here. I don\'t think Law is a possibilty, but I like the idea of Woodson, McKenzie or Smoot.

Trading Howard would do nothing but negate the players salary for the next year b/c there IS NO signing bonus whatsoever involved in a Franchise tag. ;) |

Trading Howard would make baby Jesus cry. :(

Should Saints trade Howard?
Howard won\'t be traded... and nor should we trade him. Smith may not being playing DE for the Saints... he could end up at a LB position.
If nothing else gives us fresh players to rotate in and out for a break if need be. [Edited on 27/4/2004 by Euphoria] |
