It's all a scam guys. The NFL knows full well what it's doing. The press could care less except (a) they have to maintain their ties with the league and (b) as long as the story continues they have something to write about.

It's...A...Scam. and THAT is why I've always said, SHOW THE EVIDENCE. Put it out there, guilty or innocent. Be as fair as you claim you want the game to be.

That hasn't happened because the evidence they have isn't worth one of FF used condoms. That's why they leak it, once irrelevant piece at a time - so they can spin it. These aren't idiots. They're following the playbook to the letter. What's so sad, to me, is that so many people are swallowing it up without questioning it.

And I would bet my left nut Roger Goodell wants to drag it out until camps are going because he believes people will simply tire of the whole thing and drop it because they'll just be happy to have football back in their lives.

And that's why I think, as much as I loath feeling this way, that the Government has to get involved here. Someone who is somewhat neutral and with some power over Roger and the NFL needs to take a look and determine on his/her own what any right thinking person "should" be able to see and then do something about it.
