Ok so can we make a forum called BG for bouty gate n people can still go there n talk bout it... N this one be about r saints this season n how we r gunna kick sum a$$ this year ! I hate Goodell as much as the next guy but paytons gone suspensions have been made nothin we can do ! But we can talk bout our Team ! Yes ! New D ! Who Dat ! ! !

Sorry, but until Goodell's lies are all exposed this will continue.

Oh, and the Saints are poised to win it all again this year.

NO! This can't get swept away - this is precisely what Roger wants. People affected by this have to do everything in their power to keep it front and center. Roger is hoping the masses will simply tire of it. I'd bet everything I own that precisely that is part of his master scheme to get this over on everybody.

Don't do it. Don't fall for it. Don't give in. Keep on raising as much hell as possible. The ultimate goal is for this man to fail.

Even if there is clear evidence that Goodall lied about everything the NFL has enough money to keep the case in appeals until every player involved is totally broke. Nothing will be done about this.

I know it sucks right now. It's ugly. But think long term, big picture, folks. If you're a Saints fan, and if you interact with the outside world at all, or even just wear your Fleur De Lis garb outdoors, to the store, etc., unless you're in the heart pocket of Who Dat country, you are going to be hearing twisted versions of lies about this "bounty" stuff from people EVERYWHERE YOU GO for the next decade, maybe even longer. There are people out there poised with needle and thread, who want to sew a scarlet "B" onto OUR Super Bowl season, dismiss and disrespect OUR great team that we have accomplished here, and they want to de-legitimize everything that Sean Payton, Drew Brees, Tom Benson, Mickey Loomis & co. have achieved since their first day on the job. And make us go back to being loveable loser Bag heads.

Yes, there is nothing that can probably be done to change the penalties...For next season. It sucks. But long term, big picture, folks, in two or five or ten years' time, think about it...the more attention this gets, the more Goodell's lies and twists of truth are exposed, and brought to light, examined, looked at NOW, then the more that maybe people "out there" in non-Who Dat land will start to realize what a sham railroad job this whole thing is, what tremendous hubris and ego and poor leadership Rodger Goodell has shown.

I personally can't throw all these Saints guys under the bus, unless you show me the evidence that they deserve to be thrown under the bus, and unless it all adds up to be worth the weight of the penalties that Goodell gave out. And so far, it just plain hasn't. I'm still waiting. The more stuff comes out about this, the weirder and flimsier the case gets. None of the evidence matches what they said it was, and none of the penalties match what people actually did (Hargrove, Vitt, Payton, Loomis, the fine on Benson, etc.)

PS not a popular statement right now, I'm sure of it, but my take is that, if Drew says he's done with it, if he says "okay, case closed" on the bounty stuff, then I'm done with it. But he ain't done with it, and he ain't no quitter, that's for darn sure. Same with Fujita, even though he is no longer on the team.

We HAVE to get Drew signed and win another Superbow. That's the only way to get back in not good, but decent standing with the NFL world. That's the ONLY way. Other than that, like SaintsBro said, this will hang over our head for years. Look at New England. We still post about the cheating they did. Come on FO, get Drew under contract and get this train back on it's track.

Brees won't be signed until mid July. There is no pressing reason to get it done now. There are no team activities between now and then.

I will give in to it being done WHEN the NFL changes the charges. This was a pay for performance not Bounty. As long as they keep calling it a bounty, I will not give in!

We've got six weeks to camp........I'm not letting this die either. New Orleans doesn't rollover for anybody!

I've gotten to where I just skip over thread titles that have "Bounty" or "Goodell" in them. Finally one that said "moving on" caught my interest lol.
