Drew Brees: 'I'd never sit out the season'
 

I have to think that statement from Brees was solely intended to put WhoDat Nation at ease.

Brees knew that it would, or potentially would, cost him a lot of leverage with the Saints in his contract negotiations.

I believe that Drew has faith that the Saints will do the right thing by him and get him as much money and structure it to suit him.

I doubt you will EVER read or hear another NFL super star say that he would never sit out a season.

I for one, thank Drew Brees for dropping my blood pressure several points. I was getting as nervous as a long-tailed cat in a rocking chair factory the closer it got to July 16th!!

I just find it odd that he'd been asked the exact question multiple times before. In fact, he dodged the very same question on Mike and Mike earlier that same day.

Just tired of speculating.

It's a little relief from the heat.
