Those top 3-5 spots are kinda the same, its so hard to say who is better of Brees, Rodgers and Brady, I mean they are all fantastic QBs in their own right. I don't see it as Brees got robbed, I'm just happy we have a QB who belongs in the discussion.
I give Brees the 1 spot, maybe its because I have a strong dislike for Rodgers. I just don't see how a player that wasn't offensive or defensive MVP could be NFL MVP, so I'm just a big Rodgers hater.
Rodgers deserves his accolades. He had a hell of a year. I'd take Brees any day though. Rodgers is kind of a Richard.
Brees clearly deserves the #1 spot, but we all know he will never get it. He kicked everyones butt in the leader boards in 2011.
http://www.pro-football-reference.co...11/leaders.htm same as Manning stole 1 or 2 MVP's from Brees because of their media hard on for Manning and Brady. |
No# 1 in my book and thats all thats counts.

Just when I thought it was totally impossible for the humongous chip on the little guy's shoulder to get any bigger....more fuel for the fire! Now go show 'em, Drew!
So the players just told the world that you can break a 27 year old record that NFLN said was unbreakable at one point and you are only the 2nd best player in the league, wow just wow

Just to play devil's advocate, I think the reason Rodgers got the vote is interceptions. Brees had 14, Rodgers 6. (According to football outsiders, who count dropped interceptions and discount interceptions caused by a tip by your own man, Rodgers had 4 passes last year which should have been intercepted, Brees 17.) That's why Rodgers got it. Defenders always feel they have a chance with Brees, defenders votes swung it. IMO.
