According to David Letterman rugby is safer than football......in respect to concussions.
During an interview with Drew Brees on the Late Show, David Letterman brought up statistics that said concussions happen more frequently to football players.
Football players are taught to tackle with the helmet which leads to concussions. Rugby players have no helmets to use as a weapon. When ruggers tackle they stay away from the head. That will get the player sent off the field every time.
The NFL rule changes will reduce the number of concussions because it will likely change the way they tackle. That and better helmets will benefit the players health.
