Sick and Tired!!!!!
 

I know a lot of people are sick and tired of all the bounty talk and the bounty posts on here and the media talking about the bounty thing, and so on and so forth. The only thing i'm tired of is reading the same stuff over and over but i'm not going to do like some have suggested, forget about it and move on. The reason for this post is not to beat a dead horse. What i'm sick and tired of is the posts by opposing fans. Now I don't give a rip what opposing fans say because that's just smack talking sports fans and it's to be expected. But the "you guys got caught, take your medicine and move on" or "stop your whining you got caught" or "you got what you deserved because you were warned," etc. is really getting to me because I think opposing fans are missing something very important here. We got caught doing what every other team in the league has been doing for years. We didn't invent the pay for porformance in 2009. If we're guilty of anything it's for lying, keeping such diligent records, and not stopping when we were told. So you opposing fans keep hurling your juvenile insults at us but here's what you are not taking into account. Goodel has unprecedented power now. He can pretty much do what he wants without recourse. If I were a Steelers fan or a Lions fan or maybe even a Ravens fan I would be very worried. You think $75000 fines for big hits or 2 game suspensions for stomping on an opponent are excessive. What do you think he's going to do now since he's shown he isn't afraid of suspending coaches and players for a full season with what so far is circumstantial, questionable evidence when he has full video shots of these big hits that we can ALL see unlike this so-called "overwhelming" evidence we have yet to see. Hmmm...Year long suspensions for unseen overwhelming evidence, who knows what for indisputable video evidnce. Think about it.

I just think a lot of poeple, especially opposing fans, are missing the point. Goodell's actions are very scary. If there's no better evidence than what we have seen so far there will be no stopping him with the likes of the Harrison's and Suh's of the league who play the game with seeming disregard for other player's safety.

Obviously, the opposing fans don't have the emotional investment in the Saints we do, so it's easy for them to say "take your medicine" or "you deserved it." Most fans are too short-sighted to realize this could be THEIR team.

It ain't their team, so it's easy for them to pass judgement ... same way it would be for us if this had happened to Miami or Seattle. We don't give a crap about them, so we'd wanna move on, too.

We ain't gonna get any sympathy, no need to expect any. Best thing we can do is take our frustrations out on the rest of the NFL.

I agree but I am not looking for sympathy and I am not so short-sighted that I couldn't look at this with objective eyes if this were some other team. But you're right, most fans aren't objective. Anyway, I'm with you on your last statement. I hope we pull a Patriots spygate response on the league this year and hang 40 and 50 on everyone. Us against the world.

You have to realize also that many of the people that post on PFT & the like are teens and young adults. Then you have the haters. Then you have sheep, who just follow the heard. Sometimes they're all three; young, hater sheeps LOL. Unfortunately, they exist in the media as well.

And just remember, to have haters, you HAVE to be damn good. Nobody was ever caught hatin' on suck-ass teams! :)

just because everyone else does it doesn't make it right. We were dumb enough to get caught. We were warned and continued to do it anyway and then like a dumb ass Williams gives that speech in front of a ****ing camera.

That's exactly what we're going to do too. We will walk out onto an opposing team's field. 70,000 opposing fans will boo us. It will fire our team up and we will mo-naturally kick some NFL ass for 4 quarters. Then we will leave.
And God help any team that visit's the Superdome this year.

You missed my point Dude. Wasn't saying we should'nt be punished just because everyone else did it. Don't understand how you got that. I agree we deserve punishment but until I see more than what the NFL has shown then the punishments handed down are extremely excessive. So far the punishment doesn't fit the crime. Now if RG blows the lid off this thing with this so-called "overwhelming" evidence then the coaches and players involved got what they deserved. I have stated before on here that there is no place in sports for trying to injure opponents and that includes Our Saints. ;)

I think everyone has cracked up or will crack up sooner or later about this bounty thing ,lol.
Its very hard dealing with other fans that talk in circular arguments, reiterating the same valid points, and dealing with the brain washing that has occurred.
Even Patriots fans that sympathize and feel sorry for our fans, are 50/50 about thinking we are completely guilty, and SP knew everything.
And I remember them telling me when we won the SB, " You wait, your the cinderella story now, but the media will be hunting you, and they will turn on you".
Remember the NFL is not required to prove anything, this is not a court room. They can say and do whatever they want.

Yes this is not fair, and Im glad our guys are not wimps and are fighting this. Probably won't do anything, but makes me smile :). They are making the NFL and Goodell look bad, which is all we can ask for.

So what, if we become the New Dark Empire, with the evil genius Payton hated by all the other teams fans.
Seems to have worked well for the Patriots. I welcome a new evil decade of New Orleans Saints football were we are in the playoffs every year and 2 more rings. :)
IF other teams fans want to see us as evil, fine. We will enslave there hopes and dreams, and rule the NFC for a decade. hehe

Heck, every league needs a "heel" I guess. If that's what we're destined to be after all this, might as well embrace it ...
