Report: Saints, Drew Brees about $1 million apart
 

If both sides are so close to getting a deal done, the only reason I can think that they haven’t finalized anything, is because the Saints can’t agree on how much guaranteed money they’re willing to give Brees.

One million???? So hypothetically the difference between 20 and 21 million?! Stop this BS already. Just sign the F'ing contract Drew. I'm gonna be paying my electric bill late this month and the one person who has given me so much joy lately as a Saints fan is being nit-picky about being the highest paid player in the NFL.

A miilion dollars is a lot of money no matter how much money you have. Benson didn't become a billionaire by letting a million or two one way or the other fall to the wayside.I know to people like us who don't have millions of dollars its easy to say "whats and extra million if the guy has hundreds of millions" but thats not the way it works. A million dollars is still a lot of money.

I never said I actually believed that. Just that it could happen. I do believe if he signs the tag that his days here are limited and he won't be back for the 2013 season.

It will be done July 16.

I have been kinda thinking this as well. Restructure everybody you can, work out all the little deals, give everybody their little piece, and then slide the whole rest of the pie across the table to Drew.

Something tells me that there is a deal Sunday and a press conference Monday.
