Late to the party. Probably answered. The signing bonus is spread out over the length of the contract. So the $37 million is spread out at $7.4 million per year. There's $3 in base the first year. So that's $10.4 million. The rest is the other guaranteed dollars which are also spread over the life of the contract.

Drew will never get to the end of this contract. If he's still productive by year 4, it'll be restructured. If not then the Saints and Drew part ways with services rendered. That's why the structure of the contract, which virtually guarantees $55 million to be paid out in the first three year was crucial to get straight.
