The Colts mess wasn't all about the cap. First, you can't take away a hall of fame QB who's at the top of his game and there not be consequences. Then, not having a backup QB worthy of being on a NFL roster made things almost impossible. Add to that, having a head coach who was way over his head and only got his job at the request of the former head coach, and then you have the Colts last year. To sum it up, let's hope Brees stay's upright.

Caldwell was a joke and I do not hold the guy who requested him as a replacement in much higher regard.

Caldwell always looked completely lost on the sidelines. Now he is the QB coach for the Ravens... Good luck with that.

I was thinking along the lines, and correct me if I'm wrong because I really didn't follow the Manning situation that close, that Indy was trying to release/not sign Peyton so as to avoid paying him a huge chunk of change in his contract, something like $55 million? Drew's deal looked to me like they worked it out to avoid a situation like that ... one good thing about the Indy situation, Detroit's got 'em on the schedule,
