I must say that I've been disappointed lately by the lack of response by some of the regular members. This might be the off-season, but there's a lot of news coming out about the Saints lately. And most of its been encouraging!

One of the more interesting things being reported lately was how John Pease was working with the defensive line. Is this just big news to me? Evidently so, since no one has really commented on it but Danno.

Another thing is the "weekly chat suggestion." I haven't seen anyone reply to it. I think its a great idea. Is no one interested?? I think its a great idea to get the writers involved in the discussion of the Saints. I don't know about ya'll, but I can never get too much info. on the Saints.

To me the off season is like waiting to be born again. I search for every morsel of information I can get my hands on in hopes of gaining even a flicker of hope.

I search the sprots page and the internet for any small glimpse of hope that we might have improved. Now granted, I never find that "big name" player we just signed, But, for me, I just have to get my Saints fix.

I occasionally see lummOx around. I'm sure he'll get back to posting on a regular basis at some point. Personally, I'd like to hear from him more often. lummOx usually brings a different view than most and I enjoy hearing it.

Danno seems to be returning from his vacation. Good news there.

Pak. I don't know where he's been. But, it would be nice to hear more from ya.....lol

08 -- I'm sure you can find something to get on your soap box about... If not just make something up like you usually do...LMAO

B&B -- You're as knowledgeable as they come. How 'bout sharing some of that knowledge more often?

JKool -- You've brought a lot to this board and I really enjoy reading your posts. Keep up the good work.

SaintNik -- Same as JKool. I really enjoy your posts.

WhoDat -- Well, what can I say. He keeps me from overdosing on the sunshine. WhoDat is a great contributor to the board.

Gator -- Maybe your busy studing. If that's the case you are excused. If not, we would like to hear from you too.

saintfan -- I see you logged on. I know you're there. How can the sushine club compete if you're not here? Now's not the time to take a break..lol

Ok, enough with the ranting. I know I left some folks out and I want all of you to know I like hearing all of your opinions too.

One last thing: HALO -- You're not immune either buddy. I see you used to post on a regular basis. We'd like to hear from you more often. Really, we would. Well, I would. I'm sure eveyone else would too.

Wow, i have to say that my feelings are hurt that i was left off. I think it is because i am sarcastic and sometimes i like to disagree with people just to make an argument...but i am little fun.

I really do level with you when it comes to searching every possible source in hopes of finding something new to read about the Saints. I dont know what i would do if i couldnt check up on them two or three times a day.

So, remember me next time or i promise you...well God help you if i am ever forgotten again.

JimBone-- Sarcastic, or polite. I enjoy your opinions. I tend to be more optimistic than some and I really like hearing both sides.

C\'mon Billy, Saintfan rarely comes out unless it is to pounce on me, Gator, or 08. Let Gator post one time and he\'ll come running in here like gang busters.

I must say Gumbo, things are slow on the board, but this is the lull before the storm.

We have an unbelievable \"watcher\" factor here, more so than any others I\'ve been involved with. I challenge anyone who claims to be a regular to roll call on this thread. If we don\'t see everyone answer this \"call-out\" then maybe bandg.net is DOOMED. OOOOOW!

I\'m calling you out! Let this thread continue until it is completely answered.

I\'m here, but refuse to argue the same points over and over again. Your point about Pease sounds great, but I\'ll wait and see what happens this fall. Don\'t know the guy, can\'t really speculate on what he\'s doing to make the line better, the only thing I can judge him on is performance, and that won\'t come until the season starts.
You left a few guys out of that list, by the way- subguy, whowatches, D_it_up2...I\'m missing someone else...hmmmm

Much appreciated on the acknowledgement of being a regular, B-n-B. We Tech guys have to stick together. :P . Anyways, yeah I\'m here. I\'m here every day, and I\'m also like B-n-B. Most of the posts lately have been redundant. They\'re just covered up well with different post titles. I don\'t necessarily think I have to post 20+ times a day just to be noticed. I give my input when it\'s something I\'m interested in. When it\'s something along the lines of the field turf in the Dome, who the new wide receivers coach is, or Jim Haslett taking a big dump on the 50-yard line saying all the while that it\'s a representation of his stint in New Orleans, I am just not that interested. I love a good debate when it\'s a good topic. Aaron Brooks was a good debate about a year and a half ago, but when it\'s the same crap over and over it gets mundayne. Have I rambled long enough? Probably so, but I love this site. This is possibly the best site I\'ve ever been associated with on the net. I enjoy seeing all of the different opinions of the members, because everyone in here thinks with their own minds. I\'d love to join in on the forum chats when work permits me to do so. I work graveyards, so I have weird sleeping habits. I just know that no matter what, I\'m a regular here and am so glad that I stumbled on this site a couple of years ago.

Dang, Halo... callin\' brothers out...

I\'m here. The last month or so my \'being here\' has consisted of checking the board once or twice a day for major trades or camp injuries, movement to San Antonio or Picayune, the state of Louisiana being sold to Mexico, etc...

Speaking of movement and purchasing, the wife and I are in the process of buying our first home (guess that means she\'s planning on sticking around). Just had the inspection yesterday. That explains quite a bit of my MIA status. Also, I teach high school (seniors no less), so this time of year I\'ve got the ole cattle prod out trying to push them across that stage (metaphorically speaking, of course).

My affection for this site and its members is well documented. Although, the warm-fuzzies previously directed toward Gumbo have withered considerably after being omitted from the original call-out. I will persevere. If I can forgive John Forcade, I can love Billy again.

Here\'s to hoping that there will be much more to discuss in the upcoming weeks. As long as we\'re catching up here, my opinion on the current issues of the board are as follows:

Pease is the second-coming. He will single-handedly bring our defense back to prominence.

McKenzie, if acquired, will be a huge let-down. This is just a gut feeling, but I\'d take it to the bank.

Sullivan will puke up any extra weight he\'s gained, ala John Pease.

Speaking of His Holiness, Rick Venturi will go missing by week three, and no one will question the mysterious blood-stains on a certain D-line coach\'s sneakers.

The Saints will not leave NO. If they do, I will not follow them. Yep. Can\'t do it.

The wife gave me permission (shaddup!) to purchase NFL ticket this season. I wept for a full hour.

I\'m sure there\'s more to say, but most of you have stopped reading by this point. Gonna go have another cup of joe and enjoy a morn with no students.

(1) I\'m touched that I get to count as a regular. I\'ve been reading this board regularly for a long time now, but it was only last season that I felt the call. You\'ve all done a great job of making a guy feel simultaneously welcome... (cough) feel the need... for... granola (cough)... and beat up on... uh, I mean \"challenged\".

(2) Whowatches, I\'ve been wondering what the .02 stands for at the end of your posts? Is that your permanent Blood Alcohol? :D

(3) I agree that some of the debates get tiring, but I have my favorites that I\'d be happy to discuss over and over again...

(4) Perhaps as a part of our \"call out\" here (good to see you again Halo), we could simply discuss who has the best Avatar. My vote goes to BnB, whose Avatar still haunts my dreams... yikes, where the heck did you find that thing?!

(5) I think the use of elipses (...) gets more than its fair share of use on this board. I was starting to wonder if the art of sentences has been lost to the masses, and, thankfully, I have been proven right!

(6) Numbering your paragraphs so as to look like you are making smart points is... overrated. Ok, if you\'re not laughing, at least chuckling, I\'m gonna beat you with my eyes!!! :cool:

Cassady37 here and somewhat accounted for. I hope this isn\'t an attempt to brand all lurkers with that big, red \"L\" for all to see! I just read and enjoy most posts and try not to respond too much until the season starts. I hate getting addicted to all-out arguements this early in the off-season, it\'s not good for my stress level and my doctor would restrict me from the internet!

Sorry to all. I\'ve been (and in fact I still am) in Colorado Springs. Been doing an install for KKCS...at the foot of Pikes Peak, and it\'s absolutely stunning! I\'ve been logging on this week as time permits, but I haven\'t had much time to do much else other than make sure Whodat wasn\'t starting a fight! LMAO

I\'ll be back in Dallas next Tuesday and back to picking on Whodat for being a negative person. I know you can\'t wait...neither can I! ;)

It\'s right, blackandgold.net was the first Saints website, even before the Saints official site. The site drives traffic even when it\'s not working. We took it over years ago and the site was down for 4 months and the first day there were 10,000 visitors.

Any openings? I\'m currently looking to get out of the hostile environment I\'m currently in. Tech savy, well educated (my original plan on a degree was nuclear medicine, but that\'s a lonnnnng story), and strangely enjoy the 50 hour work week. My dislikes are hostile environments (duh) and women who smell like cheese. Hook me up, my Dallas brethren :p

It\'s often hard to tell when someone is joking. Personailty doesn\'t come out on message boards too well sometimes. I usally don\'t take things personally most of the time, unless someone just blatently throws down the insults. Which you did not do. We\'re good in my book. ;)

P.S. - We\'ve had our differences in the past and I probably owe you and apology for some of the things that have been said. So, you have my apologies. Now, let me know when you read this so I can come back and delete it. I do have a reputation to uphold, ya know? :P
