Look at his first year with MIA ... who's their QB? Henning? Moore? Who's the other running backs? He's not sharing the load and gets twice as many carries as in NO, a lot fewer passes, so he busts out a 1000yd+ season ... plus he stayed healthy all season ... it's one of those 'right place/right time' deals for him & I think he's going to have some good seasons with MIA. |
5 pages of Bush vs Sproles?.... Its really a one liner.

I however think the Saints coachingstaff misused Bush during his time in New Orleans. He is not a guy that should get 3 carries, 5 receptions and a puntreturn, thats not the way to get the best out of him. Bush IMO is a rythm player, he need to get touches in order to blossom. And more than anything, don't try to just give him the ball in space, his best runs comes from the Pro formation with a FB in front of him. The Saints were stupidly scared to use him as a everydown back and that was his downfall in NOLA. |

I never have understood why guys who think a thread is yesterday's news or beating a dead horse don't just move on to another thread rather than trying to squash a thread. Try to look at it this way...
If you are the author of the thread, would you appreciate someone trying to shoot the thread down? I didn't think so. We try to treat everyone like family here...for the most part...and it is out of courtesy that we hold our snide remarks to a minimum and that is why we all love this place. Personally, I have never seen a thread that compared Bush and Sproles and I thought it was a good topic...but then I don't live on the board so I am sure I might have missed one or two. /rant |
Typically I'm a stat nerd but in this case, I'll go with what I felt when I was watching them play.
When Sproles gets the ball I'm hoping he jukes a tackler and scores a touchdown. When Reggie got the ball, I just hoped he'd run forward. |

Yes, Bush was a disappointment in N.O. But a lot of that was due his being drafted so high and our unrealistic expectations. I think Reggie tried too mhard to live up to those expectations and it really hurt his game. I can understand the criticism because he did drive me crazy with the dancing, fumbles, bad punt returns etc.
But I think many people go over board in their criticism. Reggie was a valuable member of the team and became one the best third down backs in the NFL. He also handled the situation like a man and didn't sulk or become a malcontent. Best of luck to him where ever he plays and in his future after football. (And thank the football gods that we got Darren Sproles.) |

All first-round draft picks are over-hyped and I think there's actually a mental syndrome surrounding most. |
Perhaps the dumbest thread ever started on this website.
In case any of you missed it, Reggie Bush is the greatest football player we ever had. Wait.. wait... I realize I might be a little out of line with this comment. Aaron Brooks is the Greatest Football Player we've ever had. |
Bush was for sure a big part of winning The superbowl and we can still be thankful to him. But with sproles we found a great replacement for bush. That's all we need: a smart and quick guy who brees can throw the ball to.
