The only things that Peter King has written about the Saints this offseason is what Roger Goodell has told him. He's done nothing to investigate the story or challenge the NFL's position in any way. Just my opinion but I think he's more concerned with his access to the commissioner's office and high ranking people in the NFL than he is with doing any actual reporting. Journalism is hard work, pandering is easy.

Oh they all are. Not just King. I'm so disgusted with 'sports reporters' I can't even think about it. It makes my blood boil how the media kissed Roger's backside for fear of losing their access. That makes each one of them tons worse than anybody who took a dollar for this alleged bounty program.

When Roger started this mess there was story after story about the ironclad case against the Saints. Some even stating the Saints got off lightly.

Fast forward a few months and the ironclad evidence turned into a bio degradable diaper six months in a landfill. Fast forward again to Vilma's suit and despite the Judge's concerns, it sounds like crickets out there.

I have not seen one major sports reporter bring this to light. When a judge says Roger sliced the salami thin and that she is troubled by their whole process those are serious statements. If King isn't going to take his craft serious then there is no reason anyone in the Saints organization should take him serious.

Perhaps is you had INVESTIGATED the 'bounty" scandal yourself instead of taking the league's word for it, Payton, Loomis and Vitt would probably talk to you.
When the league initially says 22-27 Saints players were involved, but only name 2 current and 2 former Saints, that should have sent up a red flag.
The league said they had video evidence of Anthony Hargrove saying 'pay me my money' that confirmed the 'bounty' program, but then the video DIDN'T show that, but the league said it didn't matter.
Goodell is trying to head off all of the concussion lawsuits that are being filed and he is flogging the Saints on the public stage.

Prisco has actually been pretty good about all this and been on our side.

He predicted the Saints would finish 9-7!! How is that on our side?

He's just giving our guys a little more motivation.

He's said a lot to dispute the leagues allegations on bounty gate. Maybe I'm wrong maybe it was someone else but I could swear it was him. I know it was someone who usually does not report favorably on the Saints

Dude, I think you're thinking about Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk. Florio has been the ONLY journalist to give the Bountygate evidence a full look-over.

Pete Prisco is such a Saints hater that he gave the Saints an F for our draft grade this year because of Bountygate. He's a total troll and a notorious Saints HATER.

Why would they talk to anyone? If they can suspend people without revealing evidence, then what would stop them from misquoting, photoshopping...whatever.

No more speculation, talk to us in week 20 and ask so what were the most difficult hurdles to overcome in going 19-0 with out your head coach.

I'd like to know how in the hell Peter King considers himself a journalist when his job is to make predictions... Ponder that for a second; it's his JOB to make PREDICTIONS. When did predicting what team will win the Super Bowl become journalism?!

Do not forget that the word is that Goodell put a "gag order" on the front office personnel disciplined in this case. I know, he has denied that, but several sources have said that is what they were told.

The player contract may state they have to make themselves available to the media, but does not state they have to give them any information.

An agreement by the players and coaches to give them a "No Comment" or "That's a good question, but I have no response", or just plain slience (just stare back at them). would satisfy the "available to media" requirement".

The clause states they have to "be available to the media", not have to speak to the media. The right to Free Speech also includes the right NOT TO SPEAK.

That non-act would do more than any other action(s) by the players, coaches, and organization.

If he believes there was a pay for performance system in place how could Vilma's situation be a grey area? He can't have it both ways, either there was a pay for performance system or a bounty system in place. He needs to make up his mind.
