How close do you see Brees getting to his record?
Hard to imagine him having a better year than last year, hell its hard to imagine anyone doing it for years to come. With Graham getting better and better, do you think its possible for him to break last years record? Yes I am bored tonight. Would be a hell of a thing no?

When we were struggling in close, close games with uninspired play, we're usually more concerned with winning week to week. |

My concern is how the league will respond if the Saints get on a roll like last year and HFA is a possibility. I don't want to sound like a conspiracy-theory nut, but I believe that Goodell would "instruct" the refs to pay closer attention to making drive stopping, or sustaning, depending on the situation. Goodell has already shown the willingness to make decisions based on weak 'evidence'. Any games that are lost due to a missed/bad call by a ref would have a zero chance of being appealed AFTER the damage is done. Imagine the situation Goodell would be in, if after all the suspensions he imposed on the Saints, we win the Super Bowl. How many teams would gladly absord the suspension of their HC & GM if they still had a chance at a Super Bowl? Other than the Saints, I don't think there is another team in the NFL that could have a winning season if they themselves in the same situation as New Orleans. Barring injury to key players, I see the Saints finishing at worst 10-6, but more likely 12-4/13-3. |
Since field position is everything, we need special teams to preform poorly giving Drew lots of yardage to gain. We also need those games where we do not take a big lead and try to run the clock down...
Most people do not realize that there is a lot more that goes into a passing record than the QB's and receivers. If we have big leads, or our defense is shutting down opponents the running game will kick in to burn clock... If special teams consistently returns punts and kick offs to the 50, that cuts the amount of yards that Drew can gain by 20-45 %. |
Not even close. We will be chewing up the clock all year long. Carmichael might think differently than Sean about how long you leave your QB in during a blow out game.

Drew will hit 6000 in 15 games.
