Saints don't need McKenzie headache Sunday, June 20, 2004 Jeff Duncan A few words of advice for Saints fans still hoping General Manager Mickey Loomis will trade for disgruntled Packers cornerback Mike McKenzie: Get over it. The Saints are better off without him. For the uninitiated, McKenzie is the latest savior anointed by frustrated Saints fans who feel their much-maligned defense didn't receive enough help this offseason. In that role, McKenzie follows Charles Woodson, Ty Law, Troy Vincent and Jeremiah Trotter. McKenzie currently is embroiled in a bitter contract dispute with the Packers. He insists he won't play a down for Green Bay again and has demanded a trade. He was a no-show for the Packers' entire offseason program.
